My Definition Of A True Friend (soul reflection)

your true friends will never judge you,they'll accept you just the way you are and support you no matter what you're going through, your true friends will never tell others your weakness instead they'd help you convert em into strengths,your true friends will help you get up when you hit rock bottom instead of announcing to the world that you're a failure,your true friends will never tell others your secrets in the form of gossip, your true friends will respect your decisions no matter how crazy your choices are, your true friends will never disrespect your other friends even if they don't like em just for your sake, your true friends will never bring up shit you did in the past because they want to be part of your present and future, your true friends will always respect your privacy and accept the fact that your life doesn't revolve around them, Your true friends will always try their best to keep in touch with you not necessarily everyday but once in a while and this lapse in communication won't be a reason for not being friends anymore, your true friends will not baby you instead they'll serve you the truth hard and raw in a cold plate,Your true friends will always be loyal to you and have your back whenever it feels like the world is against you,your true friends will forgive and forget and if they hurt you they will try their best to be in your good books, your true friends will never take advantage of the fact that you trust em for their own benefits, your true friends,your true friends will respect your family and not talk ill of your family members,your true friends will never make you feel socially inferior because you aren't as wealthy them,your true friends will never act disrespectfully towards you or ask personal/embarrassing questions in public...there are a lot of things that true friends will or will not do but in order to be a good friend one must abide by the principle of "doing unto others what you want done unto you". i can't say that i have been the most perfect friend in the world,and i take this opportunity to apologize to those who put their trust in me as a friend for i am human,and friendship like any other relationship is a seed that needs to be planted,watered and taken care of until it matures,blooms and bears fruits. I have had many people who i considered friends who hurt me bad,but what friend am I if i can't let go the past? Friends are the only Family we choose for ourselves,thus it's important to choose friends whose intentions for you are pure,friends who will never let you go and it's your duty to reciprocate their honesty,appreciation,love and whatever noble actions they do. To have a friend one must be a friend to him/herself first and do unto yourself what you want others to do unto you, if you want your friends not to judge you,to respect you,trust you,appreciate you,love you,accept you,be loyal to you,care about you,speak well about you...e.t.c you must do all these to yourself first,love yourself,respect yourself,speak well about yourself,accept yourself as you are,take care of yourself...e.t.c. your friends will handle yourself in the same way you handle yourself,and no true friend will stick around just to have you handle em the way you handle yourself. It is important to be a true friend to oneself because no matter how many friends you have,none of them can ever be a truer friend to you like you!!
